Heather Sweeney is an associate attorney with the Dolan Law Firm. Her practice focuses on helping those that have been injured or abused. Heather represents those that have fallen victim to hazardous roadways, negligent drivers, dangerous products, and dishonest people. With a certificate in Business and Corporate law from the University of San Francisco School of Law she also enjoys representing small business that have been defamed by large corporations.

Heather graduated from University of California at Davis in 2007 with double majors in English and Political Science. She also earned double minors in Comparative Literature and Economics. Heather maintained her standing in the UC Davis Honors Program all four year of her undergraduate education. She graduated on the Deal’s List for both of her majors. Through a UC Exchange program Heather also did a semester at The University of Edinburgh in Scotland; studying British and Scottish literature as well the economics of the European Union.

Heather earned her Juris Doctorate from The University of San Francisco School of Law in 2011. While at USF Law Heather was on the board of The Woman’s Law Society and was an active member of the Trial Advocacy Team. Heather studied International Law at the University of Dublin in Ireland over the summer of 2008. She completed the Intensive Advocacy Program in June of 2010. She was also an editor for the Maritime Law Journal.
She participated in three different mock trial competitions all over the state of California, including the National Trial Competition at the Federal Courthouse in Sacramento and the San Francisco Trial Lawyer’s Trial Competition at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Heather’s performance at the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Competition lead to her externship at The Dolan Law Firm. While an extern Heather worked closely on several trials with Chris Dolan in both Alameda and San Francisco Counties. After passing the California Bar in July of 2011, Heather returned to The Dolan Law Firm as an associate to begin her legal career as a passionate advocate.

Heather is a volunteer for Nor Cal Boxer Rescue and The Bulldog Rescue. She is the proud pet parent of three rescue dogs and continues to foster other dogs in need. She is an advocate for pet adoption and does pro bono work focused on animal rights and the end of puppy mills.

Heather grew up in the East Bay, a proud alumni of Monte Vista High School and St. Isidore’s School in Danville. She is also an avid San Francisco Giant’s fan and is patiently awaiting the 49er’s return to glory!
